I have a question about the taxes on my statement.

All tax policies are determined by the states, not Mitsubishi.

SALES TAX
As per section 4 of your lease agreement, you are responsible for all sales tax. If you have a dispute over the amount of sales tax, you need to contact your local tax assessor's office.

PROPERTY TAX
Mitsubishi is billed directly by the state for the payment of property taxes. Then, as section 4 on your lease agreement states, the fees get passed on to you for reimbursement. If you have a question about the amount of property tax, contact your local tax assessor's office.

The amount of taxes you pay are based on your garaging address, therefore it is important that you let us know if your garaging address has changed. Please contact us at 1-866-876-3018.

If you've recently moved to another state, you'll need to send Mitsubishi a copy of your plate return receipt or new state vehicle registration in order to apply for abatement.

Due to processing time by state authorities, it may take up to 8 weeks before Mitsubishi Motors Credit of America receives a response as to whether the refund request was approved or declined.

We realize that this issue is particularly complex and you may have other questions regarding taxes. If this is the case, feel free to call Mitsubishi Customer Relations for further assistance at 1-866-876-3018 or contact your local Municipality/Tax Assessor.
