What should I do if my leased vehicle is damaged or stolen?

If you have auto insurance, you must file a claim with your insurance company. They can then issue a check for the repairs to either you or Mitsubishi. If you receive the check, you must forward it to Mitsubishi for endorsement.

If your insured vehicle is stolen or damaged beyond repair, Mitsubishi Motors Credit of America will require the following information to send to our Insurance Case Managers who will work with your insurance company:

  • Date of loss
  • Type of loss
  • Name and phone number of your adjuster and/or insurance company
  • Insurance policy number
  • Insurance claim number

    If you do not have insurance, you are responsible for the full cost of all repairs. Please note that your signed lease, as well as state laws, requires you to keep your car insured at all times.
